Program Design

Academy of Certified Coaches curricula model is grounded in the ICF core competencies, coaching ethics and standards and essential functions of effective coaching services. Students gain mastery in establishing a coaching agreement and environment, creating the coaching relationship, engaging the client through effective communication skills, and facilitating learning and outcomes. Courses allow for individual and group learning experiences and integrate research techniques grounded in positive psychology, emotional intelligence, self-determination theory and leadership change theory. Certificate programs focus on personal and leadership coaching. Other specialty certifications are offered separately. Courses are offered in a blended learning model which combines in-person and online instruction. Certificate programs include 33–60 contact hours, while continuing education courses are available and a la carte and can be taken virtually to meet the needs of the individual learner.

Certificate programs are offered in a cohort format.  Three training components include: 1) Initial in-person intensive training 2) Weekly online instruction and 3) Live coaching labs. Certificates (ie, course hours) awarded by the ACC can be applied to ICF Credentialing process.

NOTE: The January 2020 Academy of Certified Coaches Certificate Programs are pilot programs offered as partial requirement for the International Coaches Federation (ICF) program accreditation. For more details, call us or visit ICF’s website at (www.coachfederation.org).

Certified Master Coach

Mentor Coaching

  • Mentor coaching provides feedback on the ICF components and performance markers
  • 10 hours of small group interactive online training
  • 3 months (As required by ICF)
  • Cost: $1000

Continuing Education Courses

  • Virtual Continuing Education Courses are 12 hours courses delivered over 6 weeks.

Coaching Business/Entrepreneurial Fundamentals builds on the technical aspects of growing and running a business and developing leadership skills required to maximize the value of the business.
Coaching for Internal Coaches and Managers aims to support organizations seeking to develop coaches and enhance performance of teams and emerging leaders.
Coaching Techniques I builds on techniques trained in the certificate programs for practice of advanced coaching methodologies.
Core Coaching Knowledge provides in-depth instruction of the ICF Core Components, Performance Markers and best practice coaching knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs).
Executive Coaching II–Advance Techniques in career mapping, leadership development, and organizational goal attainment.
Personal/Mindset Coaching I delivers instruction aimed at improving the client’s quality of life and grounded in science of emotional intelligence.

Use of Assessments in Coaching provides review of self and 360 assessment to create high-impact coaching and performance solutions for clients.
Nonprofit Leadership provides strength based training including assessment leadership development in an organizational and movement building context.
